Torrie Torrie was first introduced to yoga by her mother in high school. Though a reluctant practitioner at first, yoga has since become a crucial part of her life practice. Torrie has been lucky enough to learn in classes ranging in everything from Iyengar, Bikram, Anusara, aerial and acro yoga, and many more on both coasts. Once a sedate bookworm, yoga has opened up her world to the joy of movement and meditation. It has allowed her to safely pursue her passions of healing, aerial arts and fire spinning. After years of personal practice, it was only during her graduate school studies that she realized that her path led to the mat, rather than academia. For her, yoga should be an even balance of strength, flexibility, breath and calm, along with a bit of circus sass and humor.

Autumn Autumn has been immersed in the Yoga world since 1999. She started at Kripalu with their 3 month Spiritual Lifestyle Program Intensive and proceeded to work her way through Iyengar, Power Yoga with Baron Baptist, Forest and Anusara. She traveled to India to study and completed a the first Ashtanga series in Mysore. Autumn has used Yoga in teaching everyone from community groups, incarcerated juveniles to busy professionals.  Believing that Yoga is a tool for transformation Autumn realized she wanted to live in the midst of culturally rich city (and not studying in a cave above Rishikesh) with other colorful people. She's excited to be a part of the Urban Asanas family. Autumn graduated with a BH in Theater Studies at Yale and also holds an MFA in film from the University of Texas at Austin.

Erica Erica’s dance background provided a strong foundation for her yoga studies, although it took years before she took her first yoga class.  She first practiced Bikram yoga, known to many for it’s sequence of 26 postures performed in a 110 degree room (with 60% humidity).  After 2 years of disciplined practice, she then ventured to Iyengar, Jivamukti, Forrest, and Vinyasa- taking workshops on chakras, asana history. All of these branches helped to prepare her for Ashtanga.  This Krishnamachariya lineage is characterized by it connection to movement with breath, and it’s vinyasa between asanas. She received her 200 YTT with intense study of yoga philosophy, ancient text, ayurveda, sanskrit, thai massage, and anatomy.  Her teachers have included Amy Santos, Schulyer Grant, Genesh Mohan, Dharma Mitra, to name a few and she is inspired by all of them.  Erica teaches in Brooklyn NY, and is currently working on her 500TT.

Chauncie Training within the yoga practice and being certified in both Hot yoga and vinyasa flow I have found an outlet to express and cultivate my true self. Through the yoga practice I've opened up myself to experience more in life and want to help other open their hearts. I continueto help and grow with individuals using my skills.
