Located in Cape Coast, Ghana, the Cape Coast Castle Museum is an archaeological museum offering a poignant journey through african history.
The museum offers a glimpse into the dark history of the transatlantic slave trade, featuring maps of slave trade routes and examples of objects traded for slaves, such as glass beads, whisky bottles and firearms.
Visitors can take part in a guided tour, which takes them through the castles’s dungeons, the condemned cell and the frightening “Door of No Return.” The museum is open daily, offering visitors a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in Africa’s poignant and inspiring history.
